EL POBLANO

EL POBLANO

A Mezcalum Creation

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz Mezcalum mezcal
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup
  • 1/4 of a fresh poblano pepper, seeded and diced
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh poblano ring and lime wheel, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Muddle the Poblano: In a cocktail shaker, muddle the diced poblano pepper with the agave syrup and lime juice. This releases the pepper's earthy flavors, creating a spicy foundation for the drink.
  2. Add Mezcalum: Pour the Mezcalum mezcal and add a pinch of sea salt to the mix. The salt will enhance the smoky and spicy notes of the cocktail.
  3. Shake: Add ice to the shaker. Cover and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, chilling the mixture while blending the flavors.
  4. Strain and Serve: Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass filled with ice. Garnish with a fresh poblano ring and a lime wheel.
